Finally! Our new and improved site is up and functional and ready for content to flow once again. Just in time for basketball season I may add!!! Well over the summer we had our annual Future50 camp once again and this time under a new format! We had two fantastic days full of competition and fun. I want to issue my sincerest apologies that it took so long to get the everything up but here is who stood out on the girls side of the camp!
Schona Looney – 5’4 Stoutland 2025
Looney has speed to spare! She has been a flash running offense all camp long. She is smaller in stature which will make her nearly impossible to defend. She is a smart player and was able to exploit matchups whether it’s against another quick player or use her quickness and drive past her defender. Defensively she made just as much of an impact. She has quick hands and can get a swipe if the offensive player isn’t careful. Look out for Looney and Stoutland this year.
Raegen Henry – 5’6 Stoutland 2025
Henry was just as impressive as her Stoutland counterpart. She was more physical and was a more of a post up threat and she was lethal in the paint. Henry is a plus defender and is athletic enough to cover a lot of ground down low.
Brooklyn Adney 5’6 Strafford 2025
Adney is a long guard who can drive and shoot as well. She has a good up and under move around the bucket. Very well rounded player who can get to the basket often. What makes her such an interesting prospect moving forward is her ability to hit the deep ball. Keep an eye on this Lady Indian moving forward.
Anna Church 5’0 Southwest 2023
Church is small in stature but plays with more energy than anyone that I saw. She actively dives for loose balls and makes the hustle plays. She thrived when the play breaks down. She is a solid scorer from the mid range and takes care of the ball very well. She will be a great point guard option for the Southwest Lady Trojans moving forward.
Bailey Adams 5’6 Jasper 2025
A High Energy player who plays hard on both sides of the ball. Attacked the basket well and finished in transition. She defended well against 3-5. She possesses plus athleticism and will be a major piece for the Jasper Lady Eagles this year.
Loghann Leivan 5’8 Miller 2026
Miller has a long history of great girls’ basketball players and Loghann may be the next one. Just a freshman this year, she already has good size. Leivan has the height that Miller has been missing for the last few years. She has a little giddy up with the ball and can drive the lane in a flash! She will be an interesting piece for coach White in his first year at the helm for the Lady Cardinals
Kylee Cole 5’7 Aurora 2025
Cole has the opportunity to be one of the best posts in the Big 8 this year. She is the total package you want inside. She is a bigger body that knows how to get positioning. She is also sneaky athletic that uses back screens and back cuts to get easy buckets. She has a great basketball IQ and has a knack of passing teammates open. Don’t be surprised to see Cole on some of watchlists come this winter!
Lexi Raucstadt 5’5 Southwest 2024
Alexis was the oldest at the girls camp this weekend and was also one that stood out as being the most physical. She was dominate in the paint and used her body to bang a little bit in the post. The exciting prospect about Lexi is the fact that she still has some room to grow in her game. Once she developed a bit more touch down low, She will take that next leap.
Awbree Berning 5’8 Republic 2026
Awbree is an all-around 2026 from Republic that can just about do it all. She is good around the bucket and has soft touch to finish through contact. Coach Flood is going to love the versatility Berning possesses on both ends of the court. Her IQ is what will soon set her over the top. She is good at gaining separation and can knock down the three ball on occasion. She is one of the best 2026s in SWMO and keep expecting her stock to skyrocket. She also led her teams to success in the individual contests as got to the final four in the 1v1, won the 2v2 with Marionville’s Dally
Jaicee Carrasquillo 5’5 Verona 2026
Jaicee was the best all around player at the camp. She has an insane basketball IQ and that 100% can be accredited to coming from one of the best basketball families in SWMO. Much like her siblings, Tristan, Twilah and Jaiden, her mental abilities to break down a defender is about as impressive as her physical abilities to do the same. She is a three level scorer who can get it going from range and driving the lane. The Verona Lady Wildcats will look different this year with an offensive threat like Jaicee leading the charge.
Dally Pomeroy 5’2 Marionville 2027
Dally was the lone 2027 at the camp but you wouldn’t tell from watching her. She was a tenacious defender and always showed plus effort no matter what drill was ran. She competed hard will make an immediate impact next year for the Lady Comets once she begins her freshman year. Dally thrived in the competition session taking home the 2 vs 2 crown with Republic’s Awbree Berning. The junior high SWC circuit better be ready for a competitor!
